STRANGE LANDS
(Documentation of undergraduate work)
A strange land can be considered and unusual or odd place, which in this case I have chosen the elusive parallel realities that are portrayed to us by reflections. These strange worlds can be distorted as by their nature they are merely illusory 2D models of pieces of our world.
The ways in which reflections can distort our world is similar to how the simulation can distort our perception of the world. They can also alter and warp our perception of ourselves, and our identity living within a matrix of simulated models.
Simulacrums present the world to us through in a sense 'corrupted eyes' which we have now adopted as our own. I intend to explore the false nature of representation and the simulacrum by photographing them, and their distortion.
